Inspired by Turn-of-the-Twentieth Century President, President Theodore Roosevelt

I am trying to revive the old Citizens Party that was, in its existence in the late 1970s to mid-1980s, environmentally and socially conscious, economically progressive, and was trying to counter the so-called two party system that was then and is now more accountable to big business interests than the people at large that continually vote for it. Even Republican President Theodore Roosevelt, trust-buster and environmentally conscious, saw the need to shake up the Republican/Democratic domination of politics by starting the "Bull Moose" Party when he was out of office during the second decade of the 20th century. We can do the same in this second decade of this century, but we're going to have to break out of the "familiarity breeds comfort" pattern, because right now the familiar means spending a lot of money on boondoggles that have nothing to do with either domestic tranquility or real defense, and we, as Americans, just going by the little that I already know, would be shocked if we were given a detailed account of what taxpayers' money is being squandered on rather than benefitting the real needs of our nation and her children.

A Few Legislative Goals If You Vote Me Into Congress

  • Emboldening our domestic economy by getting out of handcuffing international trade agreements that basically profit rich businesspeople more interested in internationalism than patriotism, coming up with a 5-year all- domestic-energy plan, though one that fosters strong environmental, safety and health standards, building up our domestic infrastructure, rebuilding our manufacturing sector, and making sure that citizens have the first right of jobs that they are qualified for.
  • No. 2.: Global warming/climate change is a major concern that govt. must deal with on a consistent and top priority basis. The country needs to make a major effort to build renewable, safe (no nuclear) and clean energy sources as the 1st step towards solving this problem, like a 5-year plan on the scale of the historic Marshall Plan from the post- World War II era. This absolutely must be done by 2021.
  • No. 3.: Making sure that focusing on domestic affairs gets at least the same energy as confronting international crises. We still have a big unemployment problem in America, rampant homelessness, medical, health and healthcare issues that continually need paying attention to, and a morality and ethics problem that government should address by implementing non-religious morality education programs in the public schools.

Mark Greene for Federal Way Mayor

I am officially announcing for Mayor of Federal Way, today, as I was able to obtain sufficient resources to file with the Elections Department on May 18th, 2017, and able to run a full campaign until the August 1st Primary, and hopefully beyond. This All-American Relief campaign will start picking up steam around the beginning of June, as now I'm concentrating on getting about 100 signs on the ground.  Next week, I will be sending out press releases to the major publications in our area: the  Times , the  News Tribune , and the  Mirror.   For more information about this campaign of common sense philosophy and patriotic fervor, see my website and keep up with the posts on this blog, as they usually come about twice a week or more. -- Mark Greene, Official Candidate for Mayor of Federal Way Campaign Website:  ALL-AMERICAN RELIEF Campaign Blog:   FW Politics

Our Newest Blog

There's a new blog of ours called "Council" that started on 2/15/15.  This is the blog that you now want to check to keep up with the goings-on of the "Mark Greene for Federal Way City Council" campaign.  Not that you shouldn't keep checking this blog as well, but Revived Citizens Party will, from this time on, concentrate more on party matters, particularly, as opposed to the Council campaign, which is officially a non-partisan campaign.  The non-partisanship of local campaigns, generally, is decided by Washington law, although we realize, of course, that politicians like to hide their true colors behind official non-partisanship.  However, we're different in that respect, our blogs make it pretty clear that Mark Greene runs a third party and no longer affiliates at all with the major parties.  The "Top 2" primary that arose in Washington, circa 2008, made that possible. 9th District All-Candidate Debate Invitations Sent, Today

Today, I sent e-mail invitations to all 3 other candidates for the 9th Congressional District U.S. Representative seat, which if at least 3 of 4 candidates agree to participate, will be held at the large meeting room in the main Bellevue Library on 110th Avenue on July 11, and possibly could be televised, as in 2004, by TVW, the Washington state cable news network that specializes in civic and political affairs.  The library has already approved the event.  For Challenger Congressional campaigns that have all but been ignored by the media, so far, you would think that  Rivers and Basler, especially, would jump at the opportunity to get more community interest in this election.  You would think, but so far no word.  Interestingly, in 2004, Lord, Losey and Smith didn't let the first day go by before accepting debates.  However, the candidates, including the incumbent, Smith, have until Independenc...
